Worship
Sunday
Morning
Service
Services are at 10:30 am Sunday, and all are welcome.
We follow a traditional United Church order of service with traditional music.
Visit our page on "what to expect" for a very
practical description of worship at Canadian Memorial.
Children join us for the beginning of the worship service, and then go to
children's church (if they wish). Details are on the Children's Church
page.
Parents of toddlers are welcome to use the nursery adjacent to the
sanctuary, which is equipped with toys, a bathroom, and a speaker
that lets you hear the church service.
Communion is generally held on the third Sunday of the month (and everyone is
welcome to participate).
Baptism Sundays are listed on the Baptism
page.
Recent sermons and past scripture readings can be found on the
Sermons page.
Bible readings for upcoming services will generally follow the
common Lectionary (see Links for a Lectionary online
resource).
Following the service we invite you to join us at the Centre
for Peace for coffee or tea and conversation.
New Ministry Project
The membership of Canadian Memorial has approved a new
Ministry Project, which encourages, nurtures and funds initiatives by lay
members of the congregation to be Ministers of our Mission, Vision and
Values. More details and some examples of this program can be found on the
New Ministry page.
