spirit-given gifts inventory

Canadian Memorial follows the New Testament churches practice of helping people identify their deeply God-given spiritual gifts for ministry and mission. We believe that each person is gifted by God with Spirit-Given gifts to fulfill the missions s/he is called to, in order to build up the body of Christ. Our commitment to the priesthood of all believers is supported by the Spirit-Given Gift Inventory which helps you to identify your gifts, and to find your place in the body of Christ. Please call the office to make a personal appointment.

For all who seek to discover where God is calling them. What are your gifts for ministry? An initial gathering will take place on Sunday, April 29, 2007, 12–1:30 pm, in the Fireside Room of the Centre for Peace. During this time, you will receive our recently revised inventory to complete on your own. Each participant will then meet individually with Susan to reflect on the Spirit-given gifts that the inventory revealed. A follow-up group session, facilitated by Susan and Jane Currie, is scheduled for Saturday, May 26, 2007, 9:30 am–12:30 pm, in order to discern together how these gifts might best be expressed and what ministry opportunities are available for using them. The process culminates with a Commissioning during a Sunday morning Worship Service, at which you will be sent forth by the congregation to claim and enact the ministries to which you have felt called, with the help and support of this faith community. To register, please leave your name on the sign-up sheet in the office, or contact Susan Du Moulin.

Leadership:   Susan Du Moulin

Cost:            $75.00 (generally 3 sessions)
                    waived for Canadian Memorial congregation.
