O God, our
Creator, Redeemer, and Sustainer:
We give thanks for this day and for your
enlivening love as we live in it.
When we are aware
of limits and hesitation,
you assure us that with you all things are possible.
When we measure
ourselves according to worldly values,
you call us to a deeper standard of behaviour and effort.
We come to this
service with deep joy and gratitude.
We join the body
of your people throughout the world,
committing ourselves to being part
of the unfolding of your realm.
We pray in
confidence, recalling your promises
made through faithful children, women, and men
throughout the ages.
Amen.
