Peace Library
The Canadian Memorial Peace Library is located in room 202 of the Centre for Peace.
The collection covers a wide selection of topics of interest to our church community whose goal is to deepen theological knowledge, support personal lives and goals, to help with decisions in times of joy, and grief and to aid in the understanding of issues that confront us as Christians in the 21st century.
Resources are catalogued according to the Dewey Decimal system. There is a card catalogue in the library where borrowers can search for resources by author, title or subject. Resources are selected from suggestions by staff and congregation members and by those involved with the library.
The library is supported by a small sum from the church budget, by personal donations, and by a very generous donation received in 2002 from the Morris J. Wosk Foundation for use at our discretion. This latter donation has been used to purchase a computer and printer with which you can access certain links and to purchase material on peace, justice and environmental topics.
Books are periodically on display for borrowing at coffee time. They may also be signed out from the library. The library is available whenever the church office is open. (and the room is not in use by a group).
Books may be borrowed for a period of up to four weeks. We operate on the honour system. We ask that you sign the book card in the front of the book with your name and telephone number and leave the card in the box on top of the library cabinet. Resources may be returned to the church office or to the book return slot in the library cabinet.
Any suggestions on how to make the library work smoothly and any help with the library upkeep are very welcome.

The installation was dedicated on October 24, 2002 by Rabbi Yosef Wosk and his children, son and grandchildren of the late Morris J. Wosk.
