Human Resources Committee
Do you have human resources/personnel experience? Do
you have an interest in United Church policies related to ministry personnel and
others employed within the United Church of Canada? Would you be interested in
being involved in the welfare of our staff? If your answer is “yes” to any of
these questions, our Human Resources Committee would like to hear from you.

Offering Counters Team
After 10 years of yeoman’s service on the counting
team, the team leader, Graham O’Neill, is retiring from that job. Therefore, we
are looking for a team leader and for volunteer counters. Counting the offering
takes 30 to 45 minutes of time right after the service and is an important
contribution to the church. If you can help, please let
Bruce know.
A Ministry of Hospitality
Do you enjoy talking with people, directing them where to find
answers to their questions and, most importantly, serving as a welcoming face to
our community? If so, and you have the time to help out, either one morning
(10:00– 1:00 pm) or one afternoon (1:00–4:00 pm) a week, or even every second
week, then this may be the opportunity for you.

During the recent World Peace Form,
we set up a desk and phone by the door to the main office and had someone
there to greet people and answer the phone. This worked so well that we have
decided to continue this arrangement. We are looking for volunteers who would
like to contribute to and connect with other members in our congregation and
with those who are passing through our centre from all walks in life.
